Animation is like falling down Alice’s rabbit hole and entering a world of delightful creation. It can be a very scripted, scene by scene process that requires hard and fast rules or a more organic process where experimentation and play can also achieve amazing results. Bringing to life still images or inanimate objects offers another dimension to the artist and can be created in many mediums both traditionally or using cutting edge technology.

These images were created using oil paint on 3 sheets of glass. This is a traditional method of film making which involves a frame called a multiplane. The sheets of glass are placed above each other so that each can be manipulated. A time consuming process which is now much easier to make a single layer at a time and then composite them in an editing suite.
